Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival

Let It Snow

The Ice and Snow Festival is a yearly celebration in Harbin, originating from the ice lantern show and garden party. Each year the city holds many events including skiing, winter swimming in the Songhua River, and the ice-lantern exhibition.

In addition the activities the city also has two exhibition areas, Sun Island and the Ice and Snow World. Sun Island features many large-scale snow sculptures. The Ice and Snow World features full sized buildings made of ice, illuminated with lights at night.
